Camp Sonshine is on a mission.
Surrounded by 60 acres of open fields, natural woods and flowing streams, Camp Sonshine has become one of the largest and
fastest growing Christian day camps in the country. But it’s no wonder – we’ve dedicated our lives to the physical, mental and spiritual growth of all who visit and work here. And with over two decades of outstanding success behind us, our mission is to
continue on this path for the endless generations to come.
The Vision.
In 1981, David Black, the Founder of Camp Sonshine, had a
vision: A beautiful, safe environment where children from all
walks of life could experience fun, growth and love. And with
God’s help, his vision became a reality.
From a modest beginning of 25 children in his mother’s backyard, Camp Sonshine now provides the setting for over 3,000 children
and teens to experience God in an exciting and life-changing atmosphere. No matter the type of home or background of our campers, we are devoted to leaving them with a legacy of hope
and faith that will follow them throughout their lives. This was
David’s vision and for thousands of children it has made all the difference in the world. |
