At Camp Sonshine, we have a Staff Vision: To create a unified and visionary community that values commitment, excellence, education, creativity, integrity and service, while aiming to honor God in all that we do.
This vision can only be met with staff members who provide our campers with fun, laughter and an authentic compassion. Our counselors are handpicked to make sure they possess the vital qualities of leadership and perseverance. Each counselor must also have a passion for mentoring others and developing themselves – socially, emotionally and spiritually. In essence, our campers happiness depends on the quality of our staff, which means the success of Camp Sonshine is all up to you.

for Staff Applicants
Who We Are.
Camp Sonshine is a Christian Day Camp offering over 3,000 children
from the Washington,D.C./Baltimore, MD area a summer of experiences
never to be forgotten.
Where We Are.
Our grounds are nestled within 60 acres of open fields, natural woods
and flowing streams located in the suburb of Washington, D.C. known
as Silver Spring, MD.
When We Need You.
June 9th to August 11, 2007.
1 Week of Training + 8 Weeks of Camp = 9 Weeks Total
Where You’ll Stay.
While in Maryland and working at Camp Sonshine, we will provide your
food, housing, and transportation. Once hired, you will be responsible
to make arrangements for your own travel to and from the Silver Spring,
MD area.
Your Compensation
The base pay ranges from $1180 - $1340 with a $200 reimbursement for all our staff. You can earn more money through the C.A.M.P. Program (Committed Adult Ministry Partners) which is designed to assist
you in raising support. Just click here for more information on the

Bonus: You can earn an additional $50 if you bring your own car
to use for travel during the summer.
